The massive, 5 cm thick natural stone countertop appears to float above the kitchen island due to the surrounding recessed grip. The recessed grip play is a special and functional highlight that allows the kitchen island to be used for cooking and working from any side. Dining can then take place at the solid wooden table with its individually crafted base. Later, a drink can be enjoyed in front of the floor-to-ceiling window at the sun-drenched reclaimed wood bar behind the kitchen block. Directly above, the ceiling-hanging shelf 15square by Eggersmann floats as an airy design element.
The countertop in this kitchen is made of Bavarian natural stone with a hand-carved edge. It forms a harmonious contrast to the beautifully textured oak fronts of the Eggersmann kitchen furniture. The bar made of old oak complements it perfectly. Solid walnut wood with a live edge, matching the fronts of the kitchen furniture, was used for the dining table.
